Toshiba American Information Systems (TAIS), the independent operating subsidiary of the $52 billion Japanese computer and electronics maker, said Tuesday that it has selected Siebel Systems (Nasdaq: SEBL) and Inforte Corp. to develop and integrate its eCRM initiative.
The Irvine, California-based company said that it intends to develop a CRM initiative “in an area of competitive differentiation for the company,” by employing Siebel and Inforte’s application software and services to integrate its sales, marketing, customer service, business partners and the Web.
TAIS sells portable and desktop computers, PC servers, voicemail systems, digital cameras, interactive voice-response systems and other products. It has sales of $2.5 billion annually.
