Ganglib is Divante's data access library (DAl) on LGPL licence for PHP and Zend Framework. Ganglib provides operation abstraction of data from a data source. It enables an easy to change access strategy - containing all details about an operation in physical data, servers, etc.
Thanks to Ganglib we gain an additional, transparent programmer-user layer, that enables operations such as:
- horizontal and vertical data base partitioning - Ganglib contains example strategies using PDO and enables queries to be sent to different servers of data bases based on the tables used by a query (horizontal partitioning) or on tables + WHERE conditions (RANGE, HASH and LIST methods).
- changing a physical layer operating the data.
