Mobile Internet is a medium merging the flexibility of the Internet (mainly websites) and the availability of mobile phones. According to the research Outlook 2007: The Future is Now, published by Fortune in 2007, nowadays the mobile market is the biggest distribution platform in the world. GSM Association estimates that 29% of people in the world use mobile phones. In 2006 Ipsos gave the information that about 28% of mobile phone users used them to connect to the Internet.
We can envisage a large market arising with many users not using the Internet so far. In Japan last year there were more phones with Internet access than computers. In October 2006 when the registration of .mobi domain (designed for placing pages in mobile versions) started there were 75 000 domains registered in the first 8 hours. The interest in mobile Internet is growing with the growing number of users.
From a technological point of view mobile Internet means that nowadays many websites have been adapted to mobile devices browsers.
