If a document appears in the knowledge management system concerning the specified category , the user is informed instantly. This ensures improved efficiency of the knowledge exchange system. Employees have wider knowledge on projects, inspiration and ideas which are connected to their areas of interests. Employees may also receive audio-training in podcast format, which they may listen to while travelling to work. Modern training methods like these are popular in the USA. National Semiconductor gave iPods to 8000 of their employees so that they could use audio-trainings.
It is also possible to use RSS Info in external communication with business partners and customers. BRE Bank offered clients information on economic events available through BREInfo, which is based on RSS Info. The BREInfo application was published twice, and downloaded tens of thousand of times.
