Mader is the author of two books. Wikipatterns (2008) guides the use of collaboration software in an organizational context, and Using Wiki in Education (2006) explores the usage patterns and impact of collaboration tools in education. He has published a weblog, Future Changes since 2005, and has written for Science Magazine, ZDNet, Software Development Forum (PDF), and The Content Wrangler.
