We introduced BusinessWiki for knowledge exchange inside the company as well as with the business environment.
Wiki in Viessmann – an international company specialized in modern heating systems, become the first tool for employees used in co-building knowledge. It is to enable employees to exchange knowledge and to facilitate the introduction of new employees.
We expect positive effects from introducing Wiki for exchanging customer support knowledge. There is a great deal of incorrect information about heating systems.. Describing repairs may facilitate problem diagnosis for other service employees. – Ireneusz Jeleń.
The next step is starting to open Wiki for authorized dealers of Viessmann, which means moving from “WE give YOU knowledge” to “WE give YOU a tool for knowledge exchange”. This way it is possible to strengthen the scale effect – the number of potential editors of Wiki grows significantly, the role of dealers will be appreciated and there will be a possibility to get new valuable market knowledge from dealers. At the same time the development of knowledge and uses of knowledge will cover not only the producer's employees but the whole organization, including dealers. – Ireneusz Jeleń.
The knowledge gained from experiences with Wiki inspired Viessman to introduce other new tools including company blogs, which aim to promote new knowledge in a user-friendly way.
